Before the accident that made her a paraplegic, Lyena Strelkoff was an actor and dancer. She was also a survivor of childhood trauma and afraid of life. On a date, 20 feet up in an oak tree, she heard a loud crack. In that moment, she made a choice to stop controlling her life and instead surrender to it.
