Integrating Our Own Lived Experience

I’m grateful to be able to introduce you to my friend Mary Lane. Like me—and many of you--she has walked the archetypal journey of healing the wounded feminine. Her own inner work has allowed her to teach and mentor others in a powerful way. Her books are breathtakingly beautiful and I’m honored to call her my friend. I know you’ll appreciate her wisdom in our conversation about Integrating Our Lived Experience. Show Notes are below.

Introduction and Mary Lane’s experience

  • 1:40 Western culture is immature (almost non-literate) regarding loss, death and grief

  • 3:30 inseparability of life and death in nature

  • 5:30 the gifts of letting go (and what happens if we resist letting go)

  • 7:40 Elder Wisdom: being fully alive, in full presence

  • 9:00 Walking Towards a Good Death program

  • 11:10 How do we know if we’ve had a successful life?

  • 18:00 an Elder mindset: identity constellated from within

  • 20:00 the Crone archetype as gatekeeper of the portal of birth and death (and how we can birth that archetype from within us, into the culture)

  • 22:30 Scorpio and Pluto are initiators to transform old wounds, individually and in the collective  “What am I transforming now?”

  • 24:20 our credibility comes from our integration of our own lived experience; this is what allows us to support others on the path

  • Mary held monthly hour-long conversations for her followers, with End of Life change-makers called “Making Friends With Death.”  You can find more on Mary’s website below.
